Environmental Committee

The Environment Ministry serves the Liturgy. It is a work of creating and arranging objects, furnishings, sights, sounds, colors, aromas and textures in such a way that people who gather in prayer are drawn to full, conscious and active participation in the ritual. Our planning team meets monthly from September thru May, with a summer planning retreat. Other members join us for workshops and to ‘decorate’ before major celebrations such as Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.

The Flower Ministry helps to enhance our community's Liturgical celebrations throughout the seasons of the Church and the seasons of the year. This ministry strives to use plants and flowers to provide an inspiring and appropriate environment for worship. The arrangement of all the beautiful colors and textures that Nature provides helps us to create a sense of peace and welcome for our community prior to entering our church for worship, as well as creating this same sense of peace for our Altar. Outside gardeners? Ask about our newly formed Garden & Landscape Management Committee.
