Marriage

In the Catholic Church, marriage is more than a natural institution; it is a spiritual contract and one of the seven sacraments. The effect of this sacrament is an increase in sanctifying grace for the wedding couple. This grace enables each spouse to help the other grow in holiness, and to cooperate in God's plan of redemption by raising their children in the Catholic faith.

The Marriage process here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

• Call 425-481-0303 to make an appointment with one of our priests at least six months prior to your desired wedding date - for Spring and Summer weddings we recommend
1 year prior, as our calendar fills up quickly.
* Please note that No Weddings are held during Lent (Ash Wednesday to Easter)

• During the appointments with the priest, the date and time of your wedding will be set, he will answer your questions and walk you through the pre-marriage process. Some of the requirements discussed will be:
     - Taking the Marriage Preparation class, offered twice a year-Spring and Fall
     - Obtaining a legal marriage license
     - Discussing the Fees for:
          1. use of the church ($150.00),
          2. the wedding coordinator ($100.00),
          3.  the music (contact music coordinator for options and fee schedule),
          4. and Hall rental- if the reception is held in our Fellowship Hall (contact Lori in our office 425-481-0303 x 21 for availability and pricing).

*** We recommend that you contact your priest and set your wedding date here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton prior to booking a Reception Hall elsewhere or sending out your invitations. ***
