Altar Servers:

Lectors:

  • Ministry of the Lector is to proclaim the good news of scripture to the assembly.
  • Lectors let people truly hear the word that is to shape their lives.
  • A Lector must have a strong personal faith.
  • They must be able to reveal that faith through simple, natural delivery of the Word.
  • A person with strong faith, a good knowledge and command of communication tools, can be a true proclaimer of the Word.

Eucharistic Coordinator:

  • Special Ministers join with the presider in sharing the holy Eucharist in both forms with the congregation.
  • Eucharist Ministers are volunteers from among the men and women of mature faith.
  • They have received the three initiation Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
  • Before joining the working group, they are giving a short indoctrination into the purpose and methods of the Eucharist Ministry.
  • Special Ministers of Holy Communion are commissioned by the Pastor of the specific parish in which they serve.

Ministers of Hospitality

  • For men, women and couples.
  • Be an usher!
  • Serve your faith and community by greeting the congregation when they arrive.
  • Help with seating, the collections and the filing into the aisles for Communion.

Liturgy Committee:

  • Liturgy is the focal point of our faith.
  • It brings our community together in the celebration of our faith.
  • Our committee is dedicated to involving all aspects of our liturgical environment and celebration together in order to allow full participation by the community in a meaningful and spiritual way.

Ministers to the Sick:

  • Our parish has a group of caring, dedicated individuals who visit and bring Holy Communion to the homebound.

Guadalupe Committee:

  • We are a group of parishioners from the Hispanic Community with a variety of gifts and talents.
  • We meet each month to review, discuss and organize programs and activities within the Hispanic Community for the purpose of developing unity among us and to integrate ourselves with in the English cultures.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament:

  • Set aside some time to pray before Jesus in the Eucharist.
  • Drop by our chapel or become an "adorer".

Music:

  • The goal of Music Ministry at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is to lead the community in signing Praise to God and praying through music.
  • New voices and instruments are always welcome.
  • All that is required is a little music experience and commitment to weekly rehearsals and to Sunday Mass.
  • We have lots of fun and we believe that bringing our voices and instruments together for the Lord enhances our worship.
  • Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

Contemporary Ensemble:
  • Leads music at the 9:00am Sunday Mass.
  • This group includes piano, guitar, bass, 4-part voices and other instruments.
  • Emphasizes newer compositions.

Traditional Choir:
  • Organ based music leads the Traditional Choir at the 11:00am Sunday Mass.
  • Meets on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00pm for rehearsal.
