Pastoral Council

The parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the pastor. Governed by norms established by the Archbishop the Pastoral Council assists the pastor in fulfilling the mission of the parish.

The parish mission statement: We are St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, a diverse Roman Catholic community guided by the Holy Spirit. We are transformed by grace through sacraments, prayer, compassion, and evangelization. We are disciples of Christ.

The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to promote communication and understanding among parishioners, parish organizations and ministries. It also provides recommendations for establishing parish priorities, directions and policies.

The Council size is variable and determined by the pastor but usually not more than twelve members. Members are selected to reflect the broad diversity in the parish in a multitude of aspects. The usual term is three years which is renewable once. Member terms are staggered to facilitate continuity within the council.

The Pastoral Council meets with our pastor the 3rd Monday of each month.
